Thunder Road was founded in 1994 with the creation of Wylie Thunder Road in Aberdeen. Wylie Thunder Road hosts their own go-kart track, 18-hole mini-golf course, bumper boats, and more. Shortly after the success of Wylie Thunder Road, the Sioux Falls location was opened in 1996 with its own set of attractions. Thunder Road of Sioux Falls continued to add new attractions over the decades, but was only open during the summer months. This changed with the addition of a 29,000 square foot facility that opened in August 2020, allowing for year-round entertainment for all ages.
Thunder Road of Sioux Falls now boasts an indoor facility with a restaurant & bar, an arcade with dozens of different games, a 2-story laser tag arena, two outdoor go-kart tracks, an 18-hole outdoor miniature golf course, and much more. We are adding new attractions to keep the experience fresh for everyone. Recent additions include our OMNI VR Arena, new arcade games such as Fast & Furious & Combo Boxer, and our new and improved Laser Tag Arena.
Thunder Road’s mission statement is Safe, Clean, Fun. We strive for safety above all, but also providing a clean and enjoyable environment for children and adults alike. We are proud to provide Sioux Falls and the surrounding communities with a place for people to build lasting memories with family and friends.
